What is processed when you open this page

When you open the page, your browser sends technical data that the server records in a log file:

• IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of access
• file requested and volume of data transferred
• whether the request succeeded
• browser type, version and operating system
• the previously visited page, if your browser sends it

This data is technically required to deliver the page and serves the security of operations. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in running the site securely and without disruption.

The hosting provider stores the IP address for at most seven days in order to detect and repel attacks, after which it is deleted automatically. It is not evaluated for any other purpose and not combined with other sources.

Hosting

The site is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Strasse 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

Audience measurement

We evaluate how often this page is opened. The sole basis is the server log files that arise anyway when the page is delivered. The hosting provider aggregates them into a statistic: page views, files requested, referring pages, browser used, volume of data transferred.

Nothing is stored on or read from your device. No cookies and no scripts are used, no third party receives data, and no profile of your behaviour on the site is created. No consent is required for this. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in gauging demand for our content.

The statistic remains available for about six weeks. The IP address is gone after seven days and does not enter the evaluation.

Encryption

The page is delivered over HTTPS. Traffic between your browser and the server is therefore encrypted.

Questionnaire on the home page

The questionnaire in the section Work with us sends nothing to our server. Your entries stay in the browser; only when you click Compose enquiry does the page assemble an email and hand it to your mail program. Whether and what you send is decided there. Processing begins when that email reaches us; the legal basis is then Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for steps prior to a contract, otherwise (f).

What does not happen

This site sets no cookies. It embeds no fonts, maps, videos or scripts from external servers; the fonts used sit on the same server. There is no profiling and no automated decision-making. The evaluation described under Audience measurement rests solely on server log files and does not access your device. A consent banner is therefore not required.

Getting in touch

If you reach us by email or phone, we process your details in order to answer the enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract is being prepared or performed, otherwise (f). We delete the details once the enquiry is settled and no statutory retention duty applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Article 21). Please write to the address given above.

You also have the right under Article 77 GDPR to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Ludwig-Erhard-Strasse 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.

Booking an appointment via Calendly

The button Book a first call leads to a page hosted by Calendly. It loads only once you click the link; nothing from Calendly is embedded in our page. If you book there, Calendly LLC processes your details as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. The provider is based in the United States, so a transfer to a third country takes place.

Obligation to provide data

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide us with data. Without the technically necessary data the page cannot be delivered, and without your contact details we cannot answer an enquiry.

Changes

We adjust this statement whenever the processing changes.
